Jupiter Neptune Conjunction

Expansive Jupiter will be conjuncting idealistic Neptune from the end of May through mid July 2009 and the world will get another booster shot when they align one more time in December 2009. These conjunctions occur every 13 years and coincide with new trends of social or spiritual expansion. Jupiter can also exaggerate and Neptune can disappoint so there is the danger of inflation, over-production, over-idealization and self-deceit from expecting too much. But ultimately this cycle leads to positive results even if we have to readjust our dreams and goals.

This Jupiter-Neptune conjunction falls in the community-minded, humanistic sign of Aquarius, which begins to describe the tone of the next 13 years. Neptune has been in Aquarius since 1998 through 2011, as it transits about every 165 years. Jupiter has a 12-year cycle and entered Aquarius January 2009 through January 2010. Therefore the signs of this significant new cycle has been surfacing since President Obama took office in January as he called for social and economic changes that many around the world have embraced. Obama also has an Aquarius Rising, the rising sign indicating how a person projects themselves to others.

The last time the world experienced Jupiter-Neptune conjunctions in Aquarius were 1843, 1677, 1511, 1345 or about every 166 years. During these previous social Aquarius cycles we have seen (1843) the rise of abolitionists prior to the US Civil War, (1677) the over-extended Spanish Empire weakening, (1511) the first African slaves are imported to the New World in Cuba, (1345) the Black Plague that started 10 years earlier in China is now spreading worldwide brought to Europe by traveling merchants.

How Jupiter-Neptune will express itself depends on the house sector in your individual horoscope. It will be at 26 degrees of Aquarius and if you know where it falls in your chart would indicate the best insights but where it falls in relationship to Aquarius in general, will also provide useful information.

The dangers of the Jupiter Neptune cycle are exaggerated expectations and not dealing with reality in an honest and pragmatic manner. This sector provides an opportunity to not only identify the Self with a social cause or new spiritual beliefs, as does Obama but to also become a leader or teacher of these new insights. In the 1st and for Aquarians suggests that a major new cycle of optimism and idealism will be emerging.

Capricorn or 2nd House: Keywords for the 2nd are income and self-worth. This position can bring new insights for making money but also a new attitude of charity and generosity realizing that helping others can expand our own sense of self-worth. Some will fund raise to help a cause. But in general this position brings more self-confidence and new options for making extra income.

Sagittarius or 3rd House: Keywords for the 3rd are ideas and learning. You could be communicating new philosophical insights through writing, speeches, music, art, or in conversations with friends. This is also an opportunity to open your mind to a broader worldview by letting go of previous prejudices. An excellent cycle to begin writing, traveling or expanding your education.

Scorpio or 4th House: Keywords for the 4th are home and family. Some of you will be finding your dream home and others relieved to have a secured home life. Family should be very supportive and lend you a helping hand when needed. Your home can be a private sanctuary to escape the stresses of the outside world and you could open your home as a gathering place for others to feel safe and perhaps inspired.

Libra or 5th House: Keywords for the 5th are creativity, children and romance. This is an excellent cycle for actors, performers, musicians and artists as well as luck in gambling, speculation and sports. You may have a child or become involved with children activities. Romantic getaways or courtships will make some of you very happy. Enjoying life is the gift.

Virgo or 6th House: Keywords for the 6th are work, health and service. The idealism of Jupiter Neptune will compel many to volunteer in community-service. This can also be a hopeful cycle of beginning a new job, a business or developing new job skills. You may also be inspired to work on your body and begin a healthier lifestyle. You will be more inclined to be of service to those who are sick or needing assistance.

Leo or 7th House: Keywords for the 7th are marriage and partnerships. You could be proposing or receiving a proposal for marriage. This sector also rules the public and some could be attracting fame or public recognition. Beneficial contracts and business proposals will come your way as you will be attracting the generosity of others professionally and personally.

Cancer or 8th House: Keywords for the 8th are finances and joint ventures. Some will receive an inheritance or a financial settlement. This is excellent for receiving a loan or more credit. There will be opportunities for business partnerships and contracts. Insurance and taxes also come under the domain of the 8th that can be beneficial for you.

Gemini or 9th House: Keywords for the 9th are knowledge, traveling and media. Long-distant traveling will expand your worldview. Some of you will be teaching, going back to school, seeking a publishing contract, or getting more involved with marketing, media and advertising. Basically you are expanding your awareness of the world or inspiring others via the Internet, media, publishing, or teaching.

Taurus or 10th House: Keywords for the 10th are career and life purpose. Your professional goals may seem closer than you had previously believed. Your sense of destiny and purpose may come into focus for you. This could be your time to reach for the brass ring and finally grab it.
