Dolphin Research Utilizing Astrology

I went to the Dolphin Research Center in Florida, April 1987, to test my astrological assumptions with seven dolphins born in captivity. It occurred to me while I was working on the birth data of the dolphins that I couldn't very well prove that one dolphin was more artistic, more sexual or funnier than any of the other dolphins. So I had to invent a conceptual framework from which to test my astrological findings. My idea was to compare my horoscope with each of the dolphin's charts to test whether compatible energies or conflicting patterns could be seen during the actual personal interaction between myself and each of the dolphins. While recording my expectations I was able to foresee certain traits that might be exhibited by the dolphins.

Marina's chart suggested financial or material abundance; Halle would express an emotional neediness; Annesa could be a theatrical showoff; and Terce might have eyesight problems. I spent specific periods of time throughout the day with each dolphin for a total of 3 days, to see if there would be a consistency of reaction. The first dolphin I wanted to meet was Annesa because I felt she might be more dramatic and easier to foresee her expected large ego. I told the trainers that I felt she would be the star, demanding the center of attention, and since she also was a heavily aspected Libra that she might exhibit the human quality of never wanting to be alone but wishing to be left alone. The trainers got very excited about my introduction and I soon found out why. Upon meeting Annesa I found that she was the only one without a mate but had two roommates in her enclosed water compound - hence, wanting to be left alone. She immediately came up to me at the edge of the dock, then swan out into the center of the pool and started jumping into the air. The trainers informed me that she loves to entertain and is the highest jumper of all the other dolphins. She then swam back to me and began presenting to me gifts of seaweed and rocks from the bottom of her pool. I, of course, was flattered and excited about my first successful dolphin interaction. However, I soon found out that all the other encounters would be quite different. The other dolphins ignored me at first which I understand is the usual pattern of a dolphin. Halle was a baby. I expected him to become very attached to me and he did. With Annesa, I expected to become attached to her more than her to me, and that also came about. Halle's response to me was extraordinary in that babies never leave the mother, however, Halle swam up to the dock to play with me and his mother never did during the whole three days of my visit. Halle was not eating, which unfortunately is a pattern with captive babies. I asked the trainers to let me try and feed him. Halle began responding to me though not previously with the trainers. Halle also started to do tricks on signals from me that he had not yet performed for the trainers. My notes recorded that Halle could fall in love with my energy -and apparently he did. Marina, the abundant dolphin, had created for herself the largest and most beautiful of all the individual pools. Terce, with the possible eyesight problems, was missing an eye. All I had been able to record about Natua was a possible working alliance between us, this was the dolphin the Center picked for me to swim with - our working association.

I did statistical research by looking for astrological common denominators between all seven dolphins. All had strong materialistic aspects which meant to me the abundance of food in the ocean and also that they were born in captivity and would always be provided for financially. They all had strong parenting restrictions which I felt reflected being confined and captive. They had powerful aspects of psychic potential and spiritual enlightenment which is what everyone suspects about dolphins. But they live in the water, which is a conductor of feelings and ideas. Rather than the chart indicating they are psychic, they are living in a watery world which more easily connects them to each other psychically. They also have sonar abilities which is an attuned, psychic talent. Those were my results at the Dolphin Research Center, then I went to Sealife Park in Oahu, Hawaii, and worked with 5 more dolphins, one mixed dolphin and a whale, and one huge whale. There I found abundance and materialism again, and the same powerful spiritual and psychic abilities, but there was no evidence of the restrictive parental patterns. This stopped and excited me. I immediately realized that my Florida findings on some level described the location, which I hadn't thought of at the time. You see, Florida's facilities were very strapped for financial support and the property was old and needed many repairs. This began explaining the the frustration with parents in the Florida charts, whereas, the Hawaiian dolphins had more loving parental aspects and the facility there was rich and more lush. Also I became aware that the director of the Florida center had many restrictive regulations in regards to guests interacting with his dolphins. The Sealife Park facility was more trusting and less controlling in their rules. What I gained from this research was a great awareness of the powerful effect the dolphins had on my life.

When I got out of the water after swimming with and hugging Natua and Terce in Florida, the director came up to me and asked what I had experienced. I replied that my first reaction was how much heat they emitted in the cool water. He said that they don't throw off any heat but what I felt was my heart being touched. I instantly knew what he meant and, as I left the dock, I was walking on a cloud. I was vibrating so high it was as if I had been chanting and meditating with the most powerful guru. In fact, I had exposed myself to an energy aligned with universal consciousness. Being in salt water helped my energies more easily receive a great healing gift from the dolphins. It was an experience I will never forget.
