An
Astrological and Psychological viewpoint of the terrorist
attack of
September
11, 2001.
One of the main astrological
components of the terrorist tragedy Sept. 11th was with the
structured energies of Saturn in a tug of 'war' opposition
aspect to Pluto, the god of underworld, subversive
energies. And the outcome about every 35 years is which
planetary energy is stronger; the conservative state of
Saturn or the dark destructive forces of Pluto? This has
always played out with military attacks or economic
slowdowns. It happened in 1965 with the escalation of the
Vietnam War and the beginning of the race riots in America
and all the civil unrest with the protests of Civil Rights,
Black Rights, Women Rights, and Gay Rights emerging. Prior
to 1965 was 1931 when the world collapsed into a deep and
severe economic depression which spawned the birth of Nazi
Germany and Fascism.
The Saturn Pluto aspect in 2001 first triggered August 5th
when the suicide terrorists (Pluto energies) from Palestine
began inflicting horror on Israel (Saturn rules governments
or the establishment) and the resulting backlash.
Therefore, I assumed that this very stressful aspect of
Saturn Pluto would play out with Israel finally escalating
into a full out war with their Arab neighbors. But never in
America! This planetary aspect will intensify with a second
hit November 2nd and the final testing will be May 26,
2002. How will this continue to affect America, the world
and each of us individually?
Saturn represents the 'rules and regulations' whereas Pluto
rules 'profound change and transformations'. It is now
obvious what is happening politically and economically but
individually the Saturn Pluto combination indicates a need
for each of us to overhaul our past rigid systems or those
systems will change us. Your individual systems are your
families, finances and health. Let's start back 2 years ago
when many recent reports suggested that the attack had to
have been at least 2 years in the making. Back in August
1999 the world experienced a grand cross solar eclipse that
Nostradamus included in his four only dates of future
prophecies. I, among many other astrologers spoke and wrote
about the possible devastation on our planet and we all
speculated what would it be; would it be immense natural
disasters, the assassination of the pope or some other
world leader, would it mean a world wide economic meltdown?
Well nothing much happened except that the stock markets
began to slide worse than ever as one by one most of the
dot.com companies went out of business. But a solar eclipse
is the darkening of the light or truth and something hidden
or delayed was promised to change the consciousness of the
planet at a later date. This type of solar eclipse
configuration is extremely rare in the realm of about every
1,000 years, as well as a marker of profound changes on our
planet.
I heard from the media that such an undertaking of this
magnitude had to take at least 2 years to prepare. But in
addition to the Solar Eclipse of 8/99, we also experienced
last May 2000 a 7 planet lineup in Taurus and I talked
about how that was also a rare occurrence that often
synchronized with major shifts of consciousness. Example in
1524 there was an 8 planet lineup in Pisces. And what
happened that year was that Martin Luther began nailing
critical notes on the doors of the churches and many feel
that was the beginning of the death of the Catholic Church
as we knew it then and the start of the Protestant
Reformation.
In hindsight, as always, we saw the dreaded signs of
approaching terrorism but we as Americans assumed that any
attack was going to be isolated to one region of the world
because it always has in the past and never here at home.
The past 2000 year Age of Pisces was a symbol of two fish
tied together but trying to swim away from each other. The
past 2000 years was the cycle of religious warfare, and of
isolationism among countries, or the symbol of the 2 fish
both being of one planet and one species but trying to get
away from each other. But the approaching Age of Aquarius
is about the global village and obviously we humans have to
be kicked in the side of the head to wake up to a different
way of handling life on our one planet that we all share.
We also are in the mist of another major cycle of change
for the planet. Jupiter and Saturn lineup every 20 years
that together indicate 20 year periods of economics and
politics. But for some unusual reason the Jupiter and
Saturn conjunctions repeat approximately 240 years in the
same element before shifting to another 200 to even 300
years to the next element. The elements are the qualities
of fire, earth, air and water. The current cycle of earth
signs began in 1800, and in 1980 it shifted to the element
of air, but in May 2000 it went back to earth for one last
clean up before settling into air 2020 for another 200 plus
year cycle. This also portends major shifts in economics
and politics over the next 20 years.
I wrote the following over a year ago and handed it out to
the class participant's for the May 2000 alignment lecture.
Jupiter and Saturn will conjunct while both are square
Uranus in May 2000. The last time we had this particular
combination of aspects was in October 1861, about 6 months
after the US Civil War began. Uranus (Freedom, Rebellion
and Unexpected Changes) versus Jupiter/Saturn
(Governmental/Business systems and structures).
The last time this configuration of Saturn aspecting
Uranus, but not exact as it did in 1861 or 2000 was 1912 to
1913 which was the war in the Balkan’s that triggered the
first World War and when Lenin and Stalin joined forces.
So what we are experiencing if you step back historically
and look at repeating patterns is a convergence of major
cycles marking the end of one cycle of mankind and the
emerging birth of another. We are leaving the Age of Pisces
after 2000 years and entering the Age of Aquarius, we are
shifting elements of the Jupiter Saturn cycle for the first
since 1802, we have experienced another planetary lineup
last May suggesting a shift in the world view, we
experienced a Grand Cross Solar Eclipse that we haven't
seen the likes of in at least a 1000 years and that event
was of such magnitude and importance that Nostradamus,
foremost an astrologer incorporated the eclipse into his
last dated prophecy of July to September 1999 suggesting it
was the trigger of Armageddon. So how could any astrologer
or psychic pick up on the enormity of what happened or what
has been happening if the events were going to change the
consciousness of mankind? Because if the new consciousness
hasn't come in fully yet how can mystics from the context
of the old consciousness interpret future messages from the
new emerging consciousness. I would like to think that in
my lifetime that all the nations of the same planet are
going to start working together to enhance the quality of
each and every one of us on the planet. A coming to
together that benefits all is the hallmark of the Age of
Aquarius and is the only solution for quieting the ugly
dissent of the have not's versus the have's.
And so let's begin with the: The Saturn Pluto standoff --
the trigger aspect for the events of 9/11/2001.
Pluto rules death, transformation, great life-altering
change. Pluto in mythology was the lord of the underworld,
of darkness and death. Saturn rules the structure, the
system and protection, a protection from changes. In myth,
Saturn was one of the original father's of all the gods,
therefore Saturn's story is that of a parental,
authoritative figure which incorporates leaders, bosses,
and governments. Saturn is the last planet to be seen by
the naked eye and consequently the ancients classified the
energies of Saturn to rule boundaries and limitations.
Transformative Pluto may be reminding us that this is a
time to look beyond old Saturnian structures and
limitations to connect with deeper wisdom within ourselves.
Accidents, tragedy, war....it happens…crap
happens...Astrology cannot predict the type of events that
will shape your developing, unfolding story...but astrology
can predict how you will respond to upsetting events and
therefore predict the probabilities of your future
destiny….. James Hillman, one of Carl Jung's more famous
prodigies wrote at length in his best seller, The Soul's
Code, where he goes into detail about his acorn theory, the
psychological theory that incorporates the soul, or one's
calling, or one's destiny into the individual's character.
The acorn has all the genetic make-up to become an oak tree
and nothing else, no matter what life's unexpected events
will bring upon the acorn like a terrorist attack. Hillman
believes that most all previous theories of psychological
development of the personality is limited, and outdated
because these past theories believed that you are a product
of your parents, your genetics, and your environment but
leaves out the element of the soul. That was because the
scientific revolution of the 19th Century refused to
acknowledge anything that couldn't be scientifically
proven.
However, mothers will tell you that the moment their child
was born that a distinct personality was just there without
any input from parents or environment. What Hillman's
theory also does is support the premise of astrology. Which
is why I am mentioning all of this. Terrorist's cannot
change the reason your soul came back to earth nor can they
can your destiny, the calling you always felt in your
heart, but you can change it with fear or with a stronger
conviction and resolve. Again, I say, this dark chapter in
humanity is going to wake us up to greater potentials than
we have ever imagined. It will take time but the seed of a
higher consciousness sprouted on 9/11/2001 and we can
either trampled on that seedling of hope and courage or we
can water and nurture it to save the world and each other.
As Hillman so brilliantly wrote and as an astrologer I
believe his book, The Soul's Code is one of the most
important books I have ever read, when he emphatically
states that your character determines your destiny. There
are absolutely unexpected events that will turn your life
on a dime. But your character determines how you will
incorporate any unexpected upsets to make it work for you
or against you. Your character as so uncannily seen in the
horoscope can determine the probability of you choosing
calamity to destroy your life or make you a stronger and
more resilient individual. But we have free will and
learning about your inner selves, we can choose to work and
strengthen our weaknesses as opposed to letting our
emotional fears determine your future.
The terrorist attack doesn't negate any of your previous
astrological forecasts. Yes, the September 11th shock was
not previously factored into your developing business and
relationship cycles. However, how you will react to this
tragic turn of events will determine your future and your
destiny. And you are not a victim of circumstance, for only
you and your character will determine the rest of your
life, you choose how you will incorporate this unexpected
event in the biography of your unfolding life story. If
anything the intensity of war will only accelerate your
destiny and never forget that you are the one who chooses
your destiny with your choices.
To be light for a moment, I look at this event on another
level, such as winning a multimillion dollar lottery. All
that money is not going to change your character one bit.
If you were a selfish, egotistically jerk before, then the
money will only enhance those personality traits. If you
were loving and generous before, you will probably be seen
as even more generous only because you have more to give.
Therefore, this approaching new system, Pluto/Saturn, will
not change your destiny but it will accelerate it. You will
get to see what you are really made of, and if you have
been coasting and not taking responsibility for your life
you are going to have to grow up fast or crumble. But if
integrity, responsibility, and character have been strongly
developed in your personality you will become stronger and
more confident than ever. After the Great Depression the
US. Government created all the banking and social safety
nets just for extreme crisis like we are experiencing
today. The banks will not close and take your money, the
welfare programs will give you unemployment checks and all
the rest to help keep most everyone afloat until the power
and economics systems can shift to a new paradigm, and that
is the paradigm of the approaching, Age of Aquarius.
All the great prophets, visionaries and artist over the
last several thousand years have envisioned, dreamed, or
believed of an impending end of the physical world,
however, as I have explained in other talks that the brain
of human beings and the consciousness of human beings has
evolved considerably in the last 2 thousands and even
though some great mystics interpreted an Armageddon and
destruction of mankind at some point in history, these
prophets were unable to interpret the true meaning of their
dreams because of the level of their consciousness at that
time. Did you know that man could not see the color blue
until about 2 thousand years ago, and a 1000 years ago
painters did not understand or perhaps could not see,
perspective and through the study of literature, man did
not begin to turn inward and experience depression and
hopelessness until about 500 years ago. Therefore by
reinterpreting the visions of 1, 2 and 3 thousand years ago
with the consciousness of today, what Armageddon represents
is the new consciousness of the Age of Aquarius that is
unfolding before our very eyes.
0 AD - 2000 AD - Age of Pisces --- Pisces is the symbol of
Christianity. During the 100 years or so before Christ the
Greek's and Roman's began invading Egypt and ending it's
power and glory but also the emerging Christian philosophy
was seen with the invaders trying to chisel out the symbol
of the Ram, which the invaders took as the symbol for Egypt
and tried to replace it with the symbol of the Fish, the
symbol of Pisces. Pisces is the two fish tied together but
trying to pull away from one another. In another words, the
symbol of the past 2000 years, the Age of Pisces, was about
religious warfare, of the great holy crusades of a 1000
years ago fought over the belief that my god is better than
your god, my country, my race, my culture is better than
yours. But we are definitely all tied together by the fact
that we collectively are called humans which forms humanity
and that all of humanity lives on the same planet breathing
the same air which knows no boundaries.
Which takes us to the dawn of the Age of Aquarius. The over
riding personality of Aquarius is that of the humanitarian
and brotherhood, the global village. Aquarius also rules
technology and computers and therefore you can easily see a
new age is developing before us but when one age emerges
the older age will try and prevent it. We are definitely
witnessing the shift of the old consciousness of separation
versus the new consciousness of the collective group which
is the key phrase that describes Aquarius.
