Mars
is retrograde until mid April and Saturn turns retrograde
Feb 7 through June 23rd. As I spoke on my Feb forecasts,
the retrograde effect marks a time when we need to
re-evaluate our goals and actions and make any necessary
adjustments. If we keep pursuing the same goals the same
way the retrograde effect will only add more pressure and
frustrations but if we take a break and step back to get a
fresh perspective then we have more of an opportunity to
move more successfully towards our goals.

2012
will be a significant year of changes and readjustments as
Jupiter enters Gemini in June, Saturn enters Scorpio in
October and Venus and Mars will retrograde this year.
Uranus and Pluto aligned in 1965/66 and June 2012 will be
the first test of this significant cycle that happens once
in a 100 plus years marking a cycle of great social
changes. The protests against the Vietnam War, the
struggles for Civil Rights, Women and Gay Rights were the
hallmark of the mid-60’s and as time passed people became
self-absorbed into their own lives but the Uranus Pluto
square in June 2012 promises that the idealism of the 60’s
will be in full bloom once again.

As I
explained on my November video forecasts this month will
mark the beginning a new direction of planetary energies.
Mercury will be in Sagittarius Nov 2, 2011 until January 7,
2012 and extending the Sagittarius influence will be with a
Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius Nov 24th. Then there is Mars
who will enter Virgo Nov 10, 2011, retrograde January 23 to
April 13, still in Virgo and remaining until July 3, 2012.
In western tropical astrology that is the system used on
this website transiting Saturn will be changing signs next
October as it does every 2 1/2 years as it circles the
solar system every 29 + years. But in the eastern Vedic
system of astrology transiting Saturn changes signs
November 14, 2011, and moving into the same sign as it did
in October 1982. Therefore this November has a convergence
of planetary energies that will impact our lives into the
first half of 2012.

Earthquake affected the US East Coast
today. This was triggered astrologically by the Mars square
Saturn that is exact tomorrow and Mars has been the
triggering agent of the Grand Cross Solar Eclipse of July
1, 2011. Saturn rules structures and the earth and when
fiery Mars slams up against Saturn effects such as war,
volcanos and earthquakes! As you read below I earlier
posted that the Mars Saturn stress would topple the Gadhafi
government.
Libya’s horoscope is for September 3, 1969 @
6:30am Tripoli the date when Gadhafi’s government was
formed. To understand why this government is collapsing is
best seen using the planetary period techniques of Vedic
astrology. Libya main period or mahadasha is Jupiter from
2003 that lasts for 16 years. Jupiter rules the 8th house
of scandals, death and upheavals. During each of the 9 main
periods are 9 sub-periods that point to more specific
events and Libya entered the sub-period of Venus on August
12, 2011 for over 2 years are when the government chart is
over. Venus occupies the 12th of secret enemies, losses and
transitions and Venus rules the 3rd of warfare and the 10th
of the government, which means that during the Venus period
the 3rd, 10th and 12th house domains will be activated. The
South Node aka Ketu entered sidereal Taurus in May 2011
until January 2013. South Node/Ketu rules losses and
confusing transitions and when in Taurus, once every 19
years it is moving through Libya’s 10th house of the
government. When overlaying the transits, warrior Mars is
transiting sidereal Gemini and separation Saturn is
aspecting Gemini together from July 26th through September
9, 2011. Gemini is 10 signs from the Jupiter focal point
meaning that the 2 harsh malefic energies of Mars and
Saturn are affecting Libya’s government. Mars and Saturn
will form an exact hard aspect August 24th and 25th
suggesting the triggering transits for the death and
destruction of the Libyan government. May 2011 through mid
November 2011 transiting malefic Saturn and the malefic
North Node aka Rahu are both affecting Libya’s 4th house of
the homeland and warrior Mars occupies the 4th, which is
another triggering of the destruction of the capitol and
the homeland.
This is why I include the technique of Vedic planetary
periods in all my readings because so much more detail can
be seen from this incredible ancient predictive
tool.

I am sadden by the destructive Japanese earthquake today
and the loss of life but it doesn’t come as a surprise as
Uranus entered Aries. Uranus is a liberating,
unpredictable, and rebellious energy that can bring on
sudden and unexpected events. Aries is the sign of energy,
violence, fire but also quick action, courage and ambition.
This earthquake happened hours before Uranus entered Aries
as it had been building up pressure in the sign of Pisces
and suddenly releasing a powerful force of water, ruled by
Pisces and the shock to the earth.
Astrologically the rising sign was in Leo putting the ruler
of the chart, the Sun in the 8th house of death, endings,
and major upheavals. The Sun in water Pisces is the focal
planet in this chart sitting next to shocking Uranus and
violent Mars and Mercury was in Aries indicating the news
of the disaster would be heard quickly around the world.
Saturn rules structures, business and the earth and it had
expansive Jupiter approaching in opposition expanding the
structures to a breaking point but Jupiter is ultimately
the most benefic planet in the heavens and therefore most
of the buildings did not collapse. Fire and violent Mars
from the 8th house of death was within 4 degrees of a
difficult aspect to the rising sign and 3 degrees from
forming an equally stressed aspect to structural Saturn.
Mars was pressuring the earth for a sudden release as
liberating Uranus was leaving the water sign of Pisces and
entering the energetic sign of Aries. Uranus also rules
social changes and revolutions and as it was transiting
Pisces since 2003 the anger of the middle class around the
world was internalizing (Pisces) great tension but now
releasing with anger, defiance and war indicated by Aries
and witnessed from the Middle East to Madison Wisc
demanding equality and freedoms.
